the flow of the yin and yang
into each other, and out
for shades of gre/ay we all are
gods + demons = life
why separate the light from the dark, but if only to understand one another? dive into each other’s opposite, for we are made of both. separate us, and wholeness… i dare not complete that sentence, for we’ve separated the light and the dark for far too long.
i recently met a man who has been to the dark-side, to the “underworld”, where “hell” lies, and demons play with pain and pleasure. but on the contrary: his meeting of the devils of old brought them to light as compassionate beings, kind and gentle. all this, through the biochemistry of datura, the devil’s trumpet, with which one’s destiny comes in 3 flavors: return to life, extended stay in that dream-realm, or comatose in limbo. small chances, the former, apparently, but i’ll not risk my chances until i learn to sing with the forever-meditating-ones.
Yin and Yang.
“Yang is the initiating impulse, which divides and delineates; yin is the responsive impulse, which nurtures and reunites. Without yang nothing would come into being; without yin all that comes into being would die. Yang is mental activity in its forceful aspect, yin the imaginative and poetic, exalting the merely mental to the beautiful. Yang goes ahead with things, yin contains things within herself and knows their nature without effort. Yang does, yin is.”
